The tourism sector has reportedly received a major boost in the revised Kerala budget for 2026-27, with an allocation of INR 325.36 crore and a series of projects aimed at strengthening hospitality, heritage, eco-tourism and medical tourism.

The project will transform the 40-year-old landmark into a modern hospitality hub with upgraded accommodation, commercial spaces, banquet facilities and enhanced amenities.
