INR 60 crore Mapusa Residency project to strengthen tourism infrastructure in North Goa

North Goa’s tourism infrastructure to get a major boost as the government gives a nod for the redevelopment, operations and maintenance of Mapusa Residency under the Private Investment Mode.
Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant laid the foundation stone for the INR 60 crore redevelopment of the iconic Mapusa Residency. As per a national news agency report, the project will transform the 40-year-old landmark into a modern hospitality hub with upgraded accommodation, commercial spaces, banquet facilities and enhanced amenities. The redevelopment is set to strengthen tourism infrastructure and provide better public facilities for residents and visitors in North Goa.
Set to become a flagship property of GTDC (Goa Tourism Development Corporation), the project will strengthen the state’s hospitality sector, promote sustainable tourism, and enhance visitor experiences.
Besides the CM, the project was officiated in presence of Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT, Electronics & Communications, Printing & Stationery, Kedar J. Naik – Chairman, GTDC Ltd. & MLA, Saligao Constituency, Kuldeep Arolkar – Managing Director, GTDC Ltd, among others.
