PATA, ATTIA partnership to advance travel and technology collaboration in Asia Pacific

It establishes a framework for both organisations to work together to support industry development, foster innovation, and enhance policy dialogue in an increasingly digital tourism landscape.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Asia Travel Technology Industry Association (ATTIA) have formalised an organisational partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aimed at strengthening collaboration at the intersection of travel, tourism, and technology across the Asia Pacific region.

The agreement establishes a framework for both organisations to work together to support industry development, foster innovation, and enhance policy dialogue in an increasingly digital tourism landscape.
  
PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid said, “ATTIA’s role in shaping policy to support the evolving intersection of tourism and technology is highly commendable. Their efforts closely align with PATA’s commitment to advancing a more sustainable and resilient tourism ecosystem, making this partnership a natural fit.”

Under the agreement, PATA and ATTIA will collaborate across key areas, including events and knowledge sharing comprising of mutual support for conferences, webinars, and industry activities, including opportunities for speaking engagements and cross-participation. Second, marketing and communications which will include Joint promotion of initiatives, sharing of tourism insights, and amplification of each other’s activities through digital platforms and communication channels. Third, the industry engagement and advocacy to strengthen dialogue around policy and innovation to support a more connected, resilient, and forward-looking tourism sector.

Through these collaborative efforts, both organisations reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting the sustainable growth and digital advancement of the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry. 
  
As per PATA, the MOU also provides a foundation for future cooperation, with both parties expressing openness to expanding joint initiatives and extending the partnership beyond the initial term.
