TCIL conducts 10-city roadshow

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd (TCIL), conducted a roadshow for its partners in Mumbai today. This roadshow aimed at educating and engaging Thomas Cook India’s significant Channel Network of 23 Mumbai based Gold Circle Partners (franchisees) and Preferred Sales Agents, saw a strong participation of approximately 90 Thomas Cook agent partners.

Highlights of Thomas Cook India’s roadshow included the unveiling of both the top favourite and emerging consumer destinations and new product launches for 2014, together with interactive product-cum- sales training sessions and best practices conducted by Thomas Cook’s experienced Tour Managers.

The Thomas Cook roadshow concluded with a felicitation ceremony where top performing agents were presented with a Thomas Cook Excellence Award. To encourage a diversity of initiatives, besides the Top Performers award, Thomas Cook’s awards also included: the Best Debutant Partner, Best Partner (Store Branding), Best Partner (Sales Promotion) and Best Partner (Processes).

Mumbai has played a powerful role in Thomas Cook India’s growth story, with its Channel Network contributing to over 30 per cent of its sales. With YoY growth of 40 per cent, Mumbai’s diversity of holiday consumers ranging from families, students, youth, senior citizens, HNI-UHNI luxury customers, women travelers and business entrepreneurs to honeymooners and ad hoc groups, provides the Company with an optimal focus market for 2014.

Commenting on the Mumbai roadshow, Jatinder Paul Singh, Senior Vice President & Head, Leisure Travel (Outbound) – Sales & Distribution, TCIL said, “Our Mumbai Gold Circle Partner franchisees & Preferred Sales Agent partners, form a vital element of our sales strategy. Valuing & rewarding our partner’s contribution and developing their expertise is mission critical to us at Thomas Cook India. Our Annual National Partners Meet and Roadshow has proved to be an impactful initiative in engaging with them, strategizing for the upcoming season and felicitating top performers.”

Singh added further added that the roadshow was carefully planned, to equip parnetrs’ front line teams for the company’s summer 2014 launch. “With forward bookings already up by 28 per cent, we are excited about the holiday season ahead,” he stated.

Thomas Cook roadshow having covered the cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, will continue to journey across India, covering Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Indore and Kolkata during the month of December, 2013.
