The Gateway Hotels & Resorts, part of Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) is set to expand its presence across India. According to P.K. Mohankumar, COO – Gateway Hotels, IHCL, the company will launch one property each in Kolkata, Hubli, Faridabad (Delhi NCR), Kolhapur, Shirdi, Gondia, Gangtok, Raipur, Central Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Corbett Park, Gurgaon (Sohna Road Delhi NCR), Shimla, Tirupati, Salem, Trichy, Cochin, Gangtok, Kolhapur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pune, two in Bengaluru and two establishments in Chennai, among others.
“A new prototype for asset light management contract properties has been designed, and the ten properties we are set to launch over the next two years will work on this new business model. The Mumbai and Delhi properties are most essential as they will give us national visibility. We aim to have 75-80 operational hotels in the next ten years. Every city that has an airport should have a Gateway Hotel,” said Mohankumar.
