Saudi Red Sea Authority introduces first beach operator regulations to advance coastal tourism

SRSA issued and renewed 26 licences for coastal tourism operations during the year.

The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has reportedly rolled out a series of new regulatory measures and operational initiatives aimed at supporting the continued development of Saudi Arabia's coastal tourism sector.

According to online reports, the authority's 2025 annual report highlights several milestones achieved during the year, including the introduction of the Kingdom's first set of requirements and conditions for beach operators. The new framework is intended to establish clear operational standards for businesses operating along Saudi Arabia's coastline while enhancing visitor safety and service quality.
The authority has also expanded its licensing activity as part of broader efforts to strengthen governance and encourage investment across coastal tourism destinations.

As part of these efforts, SRSA issued and renewed 26 licences for coastal tourism operations during the year. The licences are expected to facilitate the regulated growth of tourism activities along the Red Sea coast, covering areas such as beach management, marine recreation and hospitality services.

The initiatives are expected to contribute to the long-term expansion of Saudi Arabia's coastal tourism offering while supporting sustainable development and improving visitor experiences across Red Sea destinations.
