Rail Europe adds Campania Express to its Italian portfolio

The addition of Campania Express said to complement the company's existing Italian portfolio, helping travel professionals offer international visitors greater choice.

Rail Europe has expanded its Italian rail offering with the addition of Campania Express, aiming to provide travel professionals and API partners with an additional rail option for some of southern Italy's most popular destinations, including Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento.

Athrough Rail Europe's dedicated platform for travel professionals, and via Rail Europe's API, Campania Express operates on the historic Circumvesuviana railway line linking Naples with key destinations across the Campania region.

The addition of Campania Express said to complement the company's existing Italian portfolio, helping travel professionals offer international visitors greater choice when travelling across one of the country's most visited regions.

"Southern Italy continues to attract travellers from around the world thanks to its unique combination of history, culture, gastronomy and coastal landscapes," said Robert From, Chief Growth Officer at Rail Europe. "By adding Campania Express to our portfolio, and making it available through both our agent platform and API, we are giving our partners worldwide an additional option for connecting travellers with some of Campania's most sought-after destinations."

The service stops at Napoli Porta Nolana, Napoli Piazza Garibaldi, Ercolano Scavi-Vesuvio, Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri, Castellammare di Stabia, Vico Equense, Meta di Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello and Sorrento.

Campania Express is available as a standalone regional rail product. With this addition, Rail Europe aims to broaden access to regional rail experiences across Europe, giving travel professionals and API partners more options to build itineraries that go beyond the continent's major gateways.
