As Indian outbound travel continues to witness remarkable growth, Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is intensifying its efforts to position Namibia as one of Africa’s leading sustainable, experiential luxury travel destinations for Indian travellers.
As part of its long-term tourism growth strategy, NTB has announced the launch of the annual Namibia Luxur y Travel Market (NLTM), set to debut in December 2026. The trade event will bring together international buyers, travel specialists and Namibian tourism stakeholders to showcase the country's offerings.
Recognising the growing importance of the Indian market, NTB continues to expand its engagement through destination marketing initiatives, travel trade collaborations, webinars, participation in leading travel exhibitions and familiarisation visits designed to increase awareness of Namibia's diverse tourism offerings among Indian travellers and the travel industry.
NTB further continues to roll out its Welcome Host Customer Service Excellence Initiative, equipping frontline tourism professionals with enhanced customer service skills. The tourism board has also introduced visitor arrival and departure surveys at Hosea Kutako International Airport to continuously improve service delivery and visitor satisfaction.
The destination continues to expand its portfolio of conservation-led tourism experiences and community-based initiatives, offering travellers meaningful experiences while supporting environmental conservation and local communities.
The tourism board is also strengthening international accessibility through the implementation of its Strategic Airline Partnership & Demand Acceleration Program (SAPDA), which represents the NTB’s commitment to support the expansion of air access and drive high value tourism arrivals.
