Manas National Park reopens on Oct 2; Assam’s wildlife tourism season to begin

The Kaziranga National Park will reopen on October 3 and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary on October 13.
Assam’s wildlife tourism season is set to kick off with the reopening of the Manas National Park on October 2.
The Kaziranga National Park will reopen on October 3 and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary on October 13, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) shared in a social media post.
“With the Manas National Park reopening on October 2, Kaziranga National Park on October 3, and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary on October 13, Assam is ready to welcome visitors back to its rich natural landscapes,” it said.
Minister for Environment and Forest, Jayanta Malla Baruah, shared in a post, that with the monsoon giving way to a new tourism season, Assam is ready to welcome visitors back to some of its most iconic wildlife destinations.
“As our parks and sanctuaries reopen their gates, I extend a warm invitation to wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers and travellers from across the country and beyond to come and experience Assam’s extraordinary biodiversity,” Baruah said.
