Dr. V P Jeyaseelan appointed as Director at Tamil Nadu Tourism

Dr. V P Jeyaseelan (IAS, 2014 batch) has officially assumed the role of Director at Tamil Nadu Tourism on July 3, 2026. 

An accomplished administrator with a strong background in public service. Before his current role, he has been serving as Joint Commissioner at the Greater Chennai Corporation, since June 2025. Throughout his career, he has held significant administrative positions, including Collector, Sub Collector, and Deputy Secretary, bringing a wealth of governance expertise to his new mandate.

In this strategic role, Jeyaseelan will lead efforts to drive tourism growth, foster innovation, and enhance the overall visitor experience across Tamil Nadu.
