VISTARA LAUNCHES FLIGHTS TO GUWAHATI AND BAGDOGRA

Vistara recently took its inaugural flight from New Delhi to Guwahati. This new route marks Vistara’s foray into the Eastern and North Eastern sectors. The airline now operates daily flights on the Delhi-Guwahati-Bagdogra-Delhi route. After a brief stop-over at Guwahati, the flight will proceed to Bagdogra. The return flight to Delhi will be directed from Bagdogra on the same day.

Speaking on this occasion, Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said, “We’ve had lots of customers asking us to fly to the Eastern India over the past month, so we’re delighted to launch this new route in response to the customer demand. The addition of this route reaffirms our commitment to promote regional connectivity in India, and contribute to the Government’s efforts to boost trade and opening up development avenues for people in these regions. We are very happy to expand our operations to both Guhawati and Bagdogra and we feel that improved travel prospects will provide these cities with the rightful visibility they deserve.”

Vistara now flies from Delhi to seven destinations- Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bagdogra, between Mumbai and Ahmedabad and will soon commence flights to Pune from 9 April 2015. With five aircraft already in operations, Vistara’s fleet will grow to six aircraft this month and nine aircrafts by the end of this year. As part of its focused expansion plan, Vistara will soon add more destinations and exciting enhancements to its product and services offerings.
