Ras Al Khaimah sees 20.7% rise in Indian arrivals

Ras Al Khaimah has recorded a year-on-year growth of 20.7 per cent during January–July 2016 in Indian visitor arrivals and 10.5 per cent growth in Indian overnights. As per the latest statistics released by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA), overall visitor numbers from Asia Pacific region has surged by 11.7 per cent with India leading the growth.

 

Haitham Mattar, CEO, Ras Al Khaimah TDA said, “India being the fourth largest international source market for Ras Al Khaimah, we are focused on implementing right tourism strategy for the market. Our recent collaborations with leading travel agents and opening of new representation office in India have led to positive growth trends as shown by the latest tourism figures. With access to 64 kms of pristine beaches and a unique terracotta desert located just 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah’s hotels and resorts continue to grow from strength to strength.
