Wyndham marks debut of Vienna House in Türkiye with 114-key property in Istanbul

The hotel features accommodations, meeting room, fitness centre, spa, a restaurant and other amenities.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Istanbul Bahçelievler, introducing the Vienna House brand to Türkiye for the first time and expanding Wyndham’s portfolio in the country to 12 brands.

Located on Istanbul's European side, the hotel features 114 guest rooms, including Superior and Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, two accessible rooms and spacious 65-square-metre Vienna Suites with separate living areas. The property includes a meeting room accommodating up to 30 guests, a fitness centre and a comprehensive spa featuring a Turkish bath, sauna, steam room and seven treatment rooms.

Dining is centred around the Vienna Restaurant, which serves international cuisine and accommodates up to 130 guests for dining and social occasions.

The debut comes as Istanbul continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading travel destinations, attracting nearly 20 million international visitors last year, making it one of the world’s 10 most visited cities. The arrival of Vienna House reflects Wyndham’s strategy of bringing the right brands to high-growth markets and responding to evolving traveller preferences.

As demand grows for more experience-driven travel, the opening adds a distinctive lifestyle offering to Wyndham’s portfolio in Türkiye, giving travellers greater choice while providing owners access to a differentiated international brand.

The Istanbul hotel is now open under a franchise agreement with ARES İstanbul Turizm, a long-standing Wyndham franchisee.

“The opening of Vienna House in Istanbul reflects both the strength and growing sophistication of Türkiye's hospitality market, as well as our confidence in its long-term future. As the country's largest international hotel company, we are proud to be growing alongside Türkiye's tourism success, expanding our portfolio with brands that meet the evolving needs of travellers and hotel owners. Vienna House is perfectly suited to Istanbul, a city that inspires curiosity, discovery and cultural connection at every turn, and further broadens the choice available as demand grows for more experience-led hospitality, while giving our owners more choice and our guests more ways to experience Wyndham,” said Arcan Bayraktaroğlu, Country Director for Türkiye, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

The opening further strengthens the relationship between Wyndham and ARES İstanbul Turizm, which first entered into a franchise relationship with Wyndham in 2019 with the opening of La Quinta by Wyndham Istanbul Güneşli, the first La Quinta hotel to open outside the Americas.

ARES İstanbul Turizm also owns and operates Days Inn by Wyndham Istanbul Bomonti, giving the owner experience across multiple Wyndham brands in Istanbul.

Tamer Çiçek, CEO, ARES İstanbul Turizm, said, “Vienna House and Istanbul are a natural fit, bringing together the brand’s distinctive European style and the energy of one of Türkiye’s most dynamic cities. This opening represents another important step in our strong relationship with Wyndham and gives us the opportunity to introduce a different lifestyle concept to the Istanbul market.”

With approximately 140 hotels across Türkiye, including more than 40 in Istanbul, Wyndham’s portfolio spans economy, midscale, upscale and lifestyle hospitality. The company also has approximately 40 additional properties in development across the country, supporting its continued growth in the market.
