Vietnam Airlines launches direct flights between Ahmedabad and Hanoi

Vietnam Airlines launches its direct Ahmedabad–Hanoi service, marking the airline’s entry into Gujarat as its fifth passenger destination in India. The inaugural flight departed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, on November 3, 2026, creating a new direct air link between Gujarat and Vietnam.
The new service will operate four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, providing travellers from Ahmedabad and neighbouring markets with direct access to Hanoi and onwards connections across Vietnam Airlines' wider domestic and international network.
Trinh Minh Manh, Ambassador of Vietnam to India, said, “The launch of the Ahmedabad–Hanoi direct service by Vietnam Airlines is a very welcome development in strengthening India–Vietnam connectivity. Improved air links will further boost tourism, trade, business exchanges and people-to-people ties, thus further strengthening the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our two countries."
The spokesperson from Ahmedabad International Airport Limited (AIAL), shared, "We welcome Vietnam Airlines to Ahmedabad and are pleased to support the commencement of this new international service. The Ahmedabad-Hanoi connection will offer travellers greater choice and convenience while contributing to the growth of international connectivity from Gujarat. We look forward to working with Vietnam Airlines and Aeroprime Group to support the route's development and enhance the airport's international network."
