The presence of international hotel brands in Uzbekistan is growing rapidly. In just seven months — from the end of 2025 to August 1, 2026 — the number of hotels belonging to international chains increased by 27.5%, while the number of rooms grew by 28.4% and the number of beds by 29.5%.
According to data from the “Tourism Services Certification Centre,” as of December 31, 2025, Uzbekistan had 40 hotels belonging to 25 international brands, with a total of 5,191 rooms and 9,340 beds. By August 1, 2026, these figures had risen to 31 brands, 51 hotels, 6,664 rooms, and 12,096 beds, respectively. During the period under review, 11 new international-brand hotels were launched.
The most notable growth in 2026 was recorded by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The number of its hotels increased from six at the end of 2025 to 11 as of August 1. The network added such projects as Wyndham Garden Chorvoq Darvozasi, Ramada by Wyndham Nukus, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Tashkent, TRYP by Wyndham Chimyon, and TRYP by Wyndham Tashkent Olympic City. As a result, its room inventory increased from 857 to 1,450 rooms, while the number of beds rose from 1,607 to 2,793.
Accor also expanded rapidly, increasing its presence from three to seven hotels. Its room inventory grew from 470 to 889 rooms, while the number of beds increased from 948 to 1,712. The network added the ibis brand, as well as Mercure Tashkent North, Mercure Bukhara Old Town, and Movenpick Tashkent Old City.
Hilton expanded from seven to eight hotels, with its room inventory increasing from 1,109 to 1,274 rooms and the number of beds from 2,118 to 2,448. The launch of DoubleTree by Hilton Tashkent was a key driver of this growth.
Hyatt increased its presence from one to two hotels following the launch of Beldersoy Resort and Spa, a Destination by Hyatt property. Its room inventory grew from 300 to 445 rooms.
At Marriott International, the number of hotels remained unchanged at two. However, the expansion of JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent increased the chain’s room inventory from 280 to 415 rooms.
New projects are emerging in major tourism and recreational destinations such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Nukus, Termez, Chimgan, and Beldersay, indicating international hotel standards are spreading beyond the capital and into the country’s key tourist centers, expanding accommodation options for international visitors across the regions.
According to CMWP Uzbekistan’s “Central Asian International Hotel Chains – 2025 Market Overview” study, the room inventory of international hotel brands in Uzbekistan increased by 272% between 2020 and 2025, highest growth rate in Central Asia. Over the same period, Kazakhstan recorded a 52% increase, Kyrgyzstan 38%, and Tajikistan 33%. According to the study’s forecasts, the implementation of new projects could enable Uzbekistan to take a leading position in the region in terms of international-brand room inventory in the coming years.
Alongside the growth in the number of operators, the range of brands represented in the country is also becoming more diverse. Today, alongside upscale hotels, the market is seeing active development of brands targeting the midscale segment, business travel, urban accommodation, as well as resort and recreational destinations. This is creating new opportunities to develop tourism products that cater to the diverse needs and budgets of travellers.
