Uzbekistan records 6.6 million international tourist visits in H1 2026

Domestic tourism also remained robust, with more than 13.4 million domestic trips recorded under the “Travel Around Uzbekistan” program during the period.

Uzbekistan recorded strong growth in tourism during the first half of 2026, with international arrivals, tourism revenues, accommodation capacity and investments all showing significant expansion.

The official figures shared by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan show that between January and June 2026, 6.6 million international tourists visited the country, while tourism services exports reached USD 2.8 billion. Domestic tourism also remained robust, with more than 13.4 million domestic trips recorded under the “Travel Around Uzbekistan” program during the period.

Meanwhile, 97 tourism projects worth USD 200.2 million were launched, generating 2,134 jobs.

The country’s accommodation capacity also expanded to 202,300 beds across 7,364 facilities, while 31 international hotel brands are now represented in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan also saw the number of designated tourist villages rise to 48, supporting the country’s broader push towards regional tourism development and investment.

The committee stated that these achievements provide a solid foundation for fulfilling the targets set for the remainder of the year and it shall continue its work in these areas through the end of the year.
