Commenting on the appointment, Damcho Rinzin, Director, Department of Tourism, Bhutan, said, “This mandate represents more than a conventional destination marketing appointment. It is about moving beyond the conventional Bhutan itineraries and showcasing the breadth of experiences available across our Himalayan kingdom. Through this mandate, Blink will work towards strengthening Bhutan’s engagement with the travel trade, media, consumers and relevant travel communities, while highlighting Bhutan as a destination for wellness and spirituality, culture, nature and adventure, family travel, luxury, MICE and Destination Weddings, and also deeply immersive experiential journeys and slow travel.”

“India holds a unique and an advantageous place in Bhutan's tourism ecosystem. As Bhutan's closest neighbour and the largest source market, India consistently accounts for the largest share of annual arrivals into the Kingdom. In addition to the deep historical, cultural, spiritual and people-to-people ties, Bhutan and India have multiple direct flight routes and land border crossings that make Bhutan one of the most accessible international destinations for Indian travellers.” he further added.
