The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat Celebrates Earth Day 2023

Marriott International announces its commitment to sustainability and social impact with its ‘Serve 360 initiative’. As part of this initiative, The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat celebrated Earth Day 2023 by organizing a tree plantation drive. A total of 304 saplings were planted at the property which aims to create a green cover in the region and inspire citizens with their small action towards protecting its environment.

The hotel chain had planned to plant trees proportionate to the number of room keys in each hotel, with a total of 22,222 trees to be planted across South Asia. The initiative was in line with Marriott’s commitment to sustainable business practices and its dedication to serving the world.

Commenting on the initiative Subhash Sinha, General Manager of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat said, “We at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat are proud to take this step towards creating a more sustainable future and encourage others to join in this effort. The hotel’s management is committed to be part of more such activities in the future, as they believe sustainable practices are the need of the hour for promoting an equitable environment for all and by working together, we could make a difference and create a better world for all.”
