The new route will be operated by IndiGo’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

The daily service, operated on IndiGo’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring a dual-class configuration combining standard Economy with Indigo Stretch.

With the objective of enhancing customer convenience and airport efficiency.

IndiGo had placed an initial order of 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft in April 2024 marking its first widebody purchase. The airline had also retained purchase rights for an additional 70 Airbus A350 Family aircraft for future requirements of which 30 are being exercised now.

This route will be serviced by IndiGo’s Airbus A320 aircraft, operating three times a week.

The new connectivity will further serve this rising demand, strengthening tourism and economic ties between the two countries.

The UK-India corridor is a high-potential market, driven by strong economic ties between the two nations and an ever expanding Indian diaspora in the UK.

Copenhagen becomes IndiGo’s fourth destination in Europe after Istanbul, Manchester and Amsterdam, soon to be followed by London and Athens.
