This will create additional seats on the high-demand Geneva–London Heathrow route for the 2027 summer timetable.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is adjusting its fleet in Geneva. For the 2027 summer timetable, the airline will operate two Airbus A320neos instead of two Airbus A220-300s. While the A220-300 offers 145 seats, the A320neo has capacity for 180 passengers.
SWISS will deploy the two Airbus A320neos on its Geneva–London Heathrow route. This is one of the most in-demand routes from Geneva. The aircraft change will create additional capacity on the route and further strengthen SWISS’s offering for travellers.
Jens Fehlinger, SWISS CEO, said, “We want to secure our position in Geneva for the long term and continue to strengthen it with targeted measures. An attractive, demand-oriented and profitable route network plays a decisive role in this.”
The airline will finalise the operational details for its 2027 summer timetable over the coming weeks. The summer timetable will be in effect from March 28 to October 30, 2027.
