Sikkim unveils portal for tourism establishments

The portal aims to simplify and streamline tourism-related services.
The Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim launched the Online Registration and Renewal System of Tourism Establishments, a portal allowing tourism establishments across the state to apply for registration and annual renewal, reducing paperwork and visits to government offices.
The portal aims to simplify and streamline tourism-related services and is part of the government’s efforts to provide ‘administration at the doorstep’ through technology-enabled public services.
Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, Tshering Thendup Bhutia, was present during the launch of the portal along with MLA–cum–Advisor, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Sudesh Kumar Subba, Commissioner cum Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation Department Raj Yadav, Chairperson STDC Lukendra Rasaily, Chairperson Tourism Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, and other officials of the department and representatives of various tourism stakeholders.
