Scandinavian Airlines launches nonstop service between Mumbai and Copenhagen

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced the launch of its return to India with direct, non-stop flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen. Operating five times weekly from October 1, 2026, the route restores SAS’ presence in India after 17 years, expanding its intercontinental network and opening access to one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
The new service is also said to strengthen Copenhagen Airport’s role as a major international gateway, offering connections to key SAS long-haul and European destinations, including New York, Boston, and Toronto.
As one of the world's most punctual airlines, regularly recognised for global operational excellence, SAS will offer travellers between Scandinavia and India superior reliability, world-class service, and seamless connectivity across its global network. The first departure is scheduled for October 1, 2026, with the BOM service commencing on October 3, 2026. The route will be operated five times a week using Airbus A330 aircraft with 262/266 seats.
