Omio launches global business travel platform

The expansion gives smaller teams a simple way to manage work travel. The platform is available in five languages and accepts payments in multiple currencies, including euros, US dollars and British pounds.

Omio, multimodal travel booking platform, announces the global expansion of Omio Business, its work-travel platform for small businesses, sole traders and freelancers.

Now available worldwide, Omio Business gives smaller teams a simple way to manage work travel. The platform is available in five languages and accepts payments in multiple currencies, including euros, US dollars and British pounds.

The platform brings train, bus, flight and accommodation booking together in one place, helping smaller teams organise work trips with greater choice and clearer financial oversight. Businesses can access Omio’s global transport network and hotel inventory through a single account, with VAT-compliant invoicing, centralised booking history and cost tracking. Omio Business has no contract, monthly subscription, minimum spend or hidden fees.

By expanding its offer globally, Omio intends to meet the needs of a business-travel market that is growing in both value and importance. Business travel is on course for a record USD 1.71 trillion in spending in 2026, according to GBTA, as companies continue to invest in face-to-face meetings on which trust, collaboration and long-term commercial relationships depend. As the cost of every journey rises, businesses are placing greater emphasis on the value, choice and financial control behind their travel decisions.

Following a successful UK launch earlier this year, the company is used by a broad range of small and medium-sized businesses and freelancers, including management consultancies, manufacturing firms and teams in software and AI, media and entertainment, and construction.

Since expanding its offer worldwide, the company has seen promising early demand from businesses across North America, Europe and Asia, including in Italy, Spain and the United States, underlining the universal need for more tailored business-travel solutions.

Jean-Francois Bessiron, Chief B2B Officer at Omio, said: “Small and medium-sized businesses travel wherever their customers are. Their work takes them across borders, between regions and into domestic markets of every size, often requiring journeys that combine several modes of transport. Until now, there has not been a product designed around the specific needs of this market. Companies have traditionally had to choose between consumer booking tools and corporate programmes designed for large enterprises. Omio Business gives smaller companies the breadth of choice and financial visibility they need, in a model that fits the way they work.”
