Nagaland Tourism with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India brings the 2nd edition of Autumn Festival to New Delhi, as a prelude to the Hornbill Festival. Aims to showcase Naga textiles, handicrafts, entertainment, culinary experiences, and more.
Nagaland Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is set to host the eagerly anticipated 2nd edition of the Autumn Festival on November 3 and 4, 2023. Building on its inaugural edition last year, this festival offers Delhiites a taste of the vibrant Hornbill festival, catering especially to those unable to make the journey to Nagaland. November 3, the first day of the festival is an exclusive invitation-only event, while the second day November 4 is open to all.
Temjen Imna Along, the Honourable Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, expressed his delight, stating, “Following the resounding success of our first edition last year, we return this year with an even grander showcase of culture, music, art, and textiles. Our aim is to provide an immersive experience for those unable to visit Nagaland, while also deepening the appreciation of those who can. It’s a win-win for all.”
Over the course of two days, a diverse array of Nagaland’s enterprises and artists will present the finest in food, textiles, handicrafts, art, and music. Notable participants include esteemed brands such as Runway India, Made in Nagaland, Woven Threads, Fusion Nagaland, Ikali’s Studio, and Kintem to name a few. Adding culinary flair to the event is the presence of Chef Aketoli Zhimomi, recently featured among India’s Top 30 Chefs list by Culinary Culture.
The festival promises a fashion show, spotlighting Naga textiles in both traditional and contemporary styles, alongside captivating musical performances by renowned artists from the state. Additionally, an art exhibition will showcase the works of some of Nagaland’s most accomplished artists.
