The Monarch Hotel and Convention Centre in Trivandrum launched the idea “Give me a place that feels as if I have returned home and that is all I can ask” on 15th May, 2022. Located in the heart of Pothencode, located 20 km from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, and 18 km from Thiruvananthapuram Railway station, the newly constructed extravagant marvel stands with an operational status of 20 rooms currently, and more 20 rooms that are in the development stage.

Other events and dining facilities that the property currently has – ‘The Pearl, Banquet Hall’ that can accommodate up to 1000 guests; ‘The Lounge’ with a range of cocktails and mock-tails; dining spaces like ‘Tea & You’ and ‘Red Chilies’; ‘Mehfil’ for official meetings and get-togethers.

According to Yakoob Khan, General Manager, The Monarch Hotels & Convention Centre, the service enhancement plan is to expand with more rooms and introduce the facility of a swimming pool, a lawn for open-door functions, and develop a pub in the rooftop area.

Talking about future expansions & target market segments, he mentioned, “Our next project is probably happening in Kollam, followed by Munnar. By 2023 and for each year ahead we are planning to add 4 units each year to our portfolio. Our priority market is domestic where we look to attract weddings and the MICE segment, followed by the corporate segment. And for the conventions and weddings, we are mostly targeting the local market.”

“We wish to be one of the key players in the city and develop the state-of-art infrastructure for the new-age traveler. We are user and women-friendly and encourage more guests, especially women to stay with us in the secured premises of the hotel”, he added.

Mentioning the marketing strategies and promotional plans, Mr. Khan said, “We are focussed on conducting marketing activities across different cities of India. We are currently aligned with effective digital marketing, rather than the traditional way of marketing and we prefer this source to reach out to a massive audience.” He mentioned that the primary aim is to generate more bookings through own websites to cater the best prices and better discounts to guests directly. He also drew light on the idea preached across social media handles ‘the best prices are offered in the official website which is guaranteed from our end’.
