LOT Polish Airlines records PLN 10.22 bn revenue in 2025

In 2026, the airline will take delivery of 12 new Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 2 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, and starting in 2027, Airbus A220s will begin joining the fleet.

LOT Polish Airlines ended 2025 with very strong financial results, confirming the company’s stable position and the consistent implementation of its 2024–2028 strategy. With revenue of PLN 10.22 billion, the carrier generated PLN 422 million in operating profit (EBIT) and PLN 350 million in net profit.

The results achieved rank among the highest financial results in the company’s history. The operating margin was over 4%, and the airline’s revenue increased by 2.9% compared to 2024. This result was achieved during a period of rapid expansion of operations, development of the flight network, and preparation for the largest fleet investments in the carrier’s history. LOT Polish Airlines operates modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on this route, offering LOT Business Class and LOT Economy Class.

Michał Fijoł, CEO at LOT Polish Airlines, said, “The results for 2025 show that we are capable of combining dynamic growth with financial responsibility. We carried a record number of passengers, expanded our flight network, and launched the largest fleet modernization program in LOT Polish Airlines history, while generating a net profit of PLN 350 million. This is a very good result, which provides us with a solid foundation for implementing the next stages of our strategy for years 2024–2028. Our goal is for LOT Polish Airlines to be an airline ready to serve as the region’s leading carrier.”

In 2025, 11.7 million passengers travelled on LOT Polish Airlines flights, which was 9.4% more than the previous year. It was the best operating result in the airline’s history. July turned out to be a record-breaking month, with nearly 1.19 million passengers flying with LOT Polish Airlines.

One of the most important events of 2025 was the signing of a contract with Airbus for the delivery of forty A220 aircraft. The contract also includes options and purchase rights for an additional 44 aircraft, which means the airline could acquire a total of up to 84 aircraft of this type. The first Airbus A220s will join the fleet in 2027. In December 2025, the airline also took delivery of the first of thirteen new Boeing 737 MAX 8. More aircraft began joining the fleet in the first half of 2026.

In 2025, the airline launched 9 new connections – from Warsaw to Lisbon, Thessaloniki, Reykjavik, Marrakech, Stavanger, Rovaniemi, and Malta, from Krakow to Paris-Orly, and from Radom to Barcelona.

At the same time, the Polish carrier announced 15 additional flights planned for 2026. In total, this amounts to more than 20 new connections that have been launched or announced, strengthening LOT Polish Airlines offerings from Warsaw and regional airports.

An important aspect of network development is expanding the carrier’s presence beyond its main hub. In 2025, LOT Polish Airlines launched a connection from Krakow to Paris-Orly and also announced new flights from Krakow to Rome, Barcelona, and Madrid. The flight schedule from Gdansk has also been expanded to include routes to Istanbul, Brussels, Oslo and Bergen.

In 2025, the airline was also recognised for its consistent efforts to improve the quality of the passenger experience. The airline received four stars in the Skytrax international rankings and the title of Best Airline in Eastern Europe at the 2025 World Airline Awards. In 2025, the airline has obtained the IATA Environmental Assessment certificate, confirming its implementation of international environmental management standards.

“It was a very good year. Both in terms of stable financial results and in terms of the expansion of its flight network and the quality-of-service LOT Polish Airlines offers its passengers. We are pleased that they are responding positively to the changes being implemented and are confirmed by industry evaluations. Although the competitive environment and fuel prices have a significant impact on the profitability of the entire industry, we are continuing our development activities. In 2026, we will take delivery of twelve new Boeing 737 MAX 8s and two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, and starting in 2027, Airbus A220s will begin joining our fleet. These investments will expand our ability to launch new connections and allow us to consistently build LOT Polish Airlines position as a modern carrier that, by the end of the decade, will have one of the youngest fleets in Europe,” added Fijoł.
