Lanyon, the leader in meetings, events, and hospitality technology, has announced that it has partnered with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) in China to provide attendee registration for its China Conference from 31March – 2 April in Shanghai. The association is using Lanyon’s RegOnline solution for attendee registration and payment, which has enabled it to issue Chinese tax invoices (Fa Piao) in local currency (renminbi or “RMB”). Enabling RMB within RegOnline has contributed significantly to this year’s increased registrations. Additionally, with RegOnline, GBTA is able to automate processes that were previously manual, saving time and resources.
“RegOnline is the only solution that enables us to transact in local currency, making it easy for local attendees to register for our conference. As of today, half of our delegates have registered in RMB and therefore received a Fa Piao─an essential element for local attendees,” said Welf J. Ebeling, Vice President of Operations, APAC, GBTA.
“The business travel market in China is expected to be the world’s largest by 2016. We are thrilled to be on the forefront of this trend by providing GBTA with the ability to transact in local currency for its China convention. The solution made it easy for attendees to register, while streamlining many of the manual tasks typically associated with attendee registration,” said JR Sherman, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Lanyon.
Developed with feedback from planners in mind, RegOnline makes it easy for organisers at small- to mid-sized businesses and associations, to plan, promote, and manage events.
