Jet Airways has expanded the scope of its codeshare agreements with Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines, the flag carriers of Indonesia and Vietnam respectively.
Raj Sivakumar, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said, “Indonesia and Vietnam are strategic trade and investment partners for India and also popular tourist destinations for Indian travellers. The expanded codeshare cooperation with Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines further strengthens our position in Asia, allowing us to win new customers in the region and providing more options and easy connections to our existing guests.”
Jet Airways will place its code (9W) on Garuda Indonesia flights operating between Singapore (SIN) and the popular leisure destination – Bali Denpasar, (DPS) in Indonesia.
Similarly, Jet Airways will place its code (9W) on Vietnam Airlines’ flights operating between Singapore and Phu Quoc Island and vice versa effective 15 April 2015. This is in addition to the existing codeshare flights aligned with Vietnam Airlines between Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HK), Singapore (SIN) and Hanoi (HAN), the capital of Vietnam.
