IHG marks debut of Regent brand in Chengdu; expanding upper luxury presence in Greater China

Poised to open in Q3 of 2029, Regent Chengdu will feature 180 guestrooms and suites.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Newhope Real Estate to introduce the Regent brand to Chengdu, marking the brand’s debut in the city and further solidifying IHG’s luxury footprint across Greater China’s premier urban destinations. The reimagining of Regent debuted with Regent Shanghai Pudong in 2020, followed by Regent Chongqing in 2021.
Poised to open in Q3 of 2029, Regent Chengdu will embody the brand’s signature belief that life is at its best when we rise beyond distractions. Situated in the heart of Jinjiang District, the property will rise between Levels 39 and 48 of a 233-metre landmark tower. The hotel will feature 180 guestrooms and suites.
