Slated to open in 2026, the 199-key property is signed in partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed HUALUXE Taipei in partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand’s debut in the Taiwan market and another step forward in bringing HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts to more markets around the world. Expected to open in 2026, the hotel builds on the partners’ successful collaboration on voco Chiayi and IHG’s growing presence in the Taiwan market.
Set in Taipei’s historic Dalongdong area, the 199-key property aims to place guests within easy reach of cultural landmarks.
Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said, “Taipei combines established business demand, international connectivity and rich cultural depth, making it an ideal setting for HUALUXE’s debut in the Taiwan market. Together with Fullon, we look forward to creating a premium hospitality experience with a strong sense of place for local and international guests, while contributing to the long-term development of Taiwan’s hospitality sector.”
“HUALUXE’s focus on refined rituals, thoughtful details and culturally rooted hospitality resonates strongly with Fullon’s long-standing commitment to warm, attentive service. By combining Taiwan’s cultural depth with an international brand perspective, we aim to create a premium stay experience that shares the warmth and character of Taiwan hospitality with travellers from around the world,” noted Joseph Yang, Group General Manager of Fullon Hotels & Resorts
More broadly, the signing underlines HUALUXE’s continued expansion into more markets. Since its launch in 2012, the brand has continued to build momentum across major cities and key resort destinations, with a portfolio that includes 27 open hotels and 20 in the pipeline globally as of Q1 2026.
With HUALUXE Taipei, IHG will further strengthen its premium portfolio in the Taiwan market. Since entering the market with Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan in 2008, IHG has grown to 17 open hotels across eight brands, spanning Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium and Essentials.
