Hyatt, Green Rock partner to mark debut of Hyatt Regency brand in Armenia

The upcoming hotel will offer 205 guestrooms and suites extensive dining experiences, family entertainment facilities, and a purpose-built conference centre.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Green Rock LLC announced the signing of a franchise agreement for Hyatt Regency Dilijan, which will mark the debut of the Hyatt Regency brand in Armenia. The agreement was commemorated during a ceremony in Dilijan, attended by representatives from the Government of Armenia, Hyatt and Green Rock.

Hyatt Regency Dilijan is designed to offer 205 guestrooms and suites, extensive dining experiences, family entertainment facilities, and a purpose-built conference centre. The hotel aims to cater to domestic and international travellers, both, with a rooftop helipad.

The hotel forms part of a 462,000 square foot (43,000 sqm) complex which features a collection of restaurants and bars, retail experiences, family entertainment facilities, including two movie theatres, and a 32,000 square foot (3,000-sqm) wellness centre with a full-service spa, a fitness centre and an outdoor pool.

The hotel is also anticipated to include a conference centre accommodating more than 550 guests, further strengthening Dilijan's ability to host larger conferences, corporate meetings, weddings and social events throughout the year.

The development is expected to create more than 400 employment opportunities across hospitality, food and beverage, wellness, events, engineering and hotel operations, supporting local talent development and contributing to the region's long-term growth.

Katerina Danekina, CEO of Green Rock, said, “Together with Hyatt, we aim to create more than a hotel – we aim to help shape a destination that will attract visitors year-round while supporting tourism, culture and the local community.”

“Dilijan has tremendous long-term potential and the Hyatt Regency brand, with its premium full-service offering, is ideally positioned to support the destination as a leading location for leisure travel, meetings and events,” said Ludwig Bouldoukian, Regional Vice President Development, Middle East and Africa, Hyatt.

Hyatt currently has more than 245 Hyatt Regency hotels across over 50 countries.
