Expedia Group unifies B2B and supply under Alfonso Paredes

In his expanded role, Paredes will oversee group’s global supply organisation, spanning hotels, vacation rentals, air, activities, car rental, and insurance.

Expedia Group announced that Alfonso Paredes has been appointed President, B2B & Chief Commercial Officer, Expedia Group, assuming leadership of the company’s unified B2B and Supply organisation.

The move brings Expedia Group’s global supply, partner distribution, and commercial platform teams under a single leader as the company continues to strengthen alignment across its marketplace, platform, and partner strategy.

In his expanded role, Paredes will oversee group’s global supply organisation, spanning hotels, vacation rentals, air, activities, car rental, and insurance, serving both the company’s consumer brands and its growing network of partners. He will continue leading the company’s fast-growing B2B business.

The new structure is designed to create tighter alignment across supply strategy, partner distribution, and commercial execution, enabling the group to operate more cohesively across its global marketplace and better serve partners across its platform.

“Alfonso has helped build our B2B business into a significant growth engine for Expedia Group while expanding the capabilities we offer partners across our platform,” said Ariane Gorin. “As the travel ecosystem becomes increasingly connected, bringing these teams together positions us to operate more cohesively across our marketplace, deepen collaboration with partners, and accelerate growth across our global platform.”

Paredes said, “By bringing Supply and B2B together, we can simplify how partners work with us, move faster across the marketplace, and create more opportunities for partners to grow through our technology, distribution, and supply network.”

According to the group, under Paredes’ leadership since 2021, the B2B business of the group has expanded beyond its historical wholesale roots into a more comprehensive travel platform. Partners can now access hotels, vacation rentals, activities, car rental, insurance, payments, and media capabilities through a single integration layer.

As part of the leadership transition, Greg Schulze will depart the company following a transition period after more than two decades in senior leadership roles across Expedia Group’s global Supply organisation. Schulze will continue serving on the board of Traveloka on behalf of Expedia Group.

“Greg has played an important role in building Expedia Group’s global supply network,” Gorin said. “He’s built longstanding partner relationships, and we’re deeply grateful for his leadership and contributions over the past two decades.”
