EVA Air announces launch of nonstop Taipei-Delhi service from Dec 1

The new route will operate five flights per week with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

EVA Air has announced the commencement of nonstop service between Taipei and Delhi effective December 1. This strategic expansion makes EVA Air the sole Taiwan-based carrier to provide direct passenger connectivity to the Indian capital, operating five weekly frequencies with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

“The launch of nonstop TaipeiDelhi service represents an important milestone in EVA Air’s network development,” said EVA Air President Clay Sun. “Growing connections across the manufacturing, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and technology industries continue to drive closer economic ties between Taiwan and India. Our new Delhi route not only provides a more efficient travel option for business and leisure passengers but also strengthens connectivity between India and North America through our Taipei hub.”

The new service also provides a more convenient alternative for travellers who currently connect through other Asian gateways. Through EVA Air’s partnership with Star Alliance member Air India, passengers can conveniently connect beyond Delhi to major Indian cities. At the same time, Indian travellers can connect via Taipei to EVA Air’s North American network, supporting growing demand from business travellers, students, researchers, and visiting friends and relatives.

Eligible Indian nationals traveling to the United States or Canada may also benefit from Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit program, making short stopovers in Taiwan easier while supporting inbound tourism.

In cooperation with leading travel partners, EVA Air will offer six- to nine-day escorted tours featuring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, cultural experiences, premium accommodations, and Mandarin-speaking guides.
