Union Tourism MinisterK. Chiranjeevi recently announced that as a tourist friendly initiative of the Government, the Embarkation and Disembarkation Cards are proposed to be made smaller by reducing the information to be filled up. In the new procedure, Embarkation and Disembarkation Cards will be required to be filled up by arriving foreign nationals and departing Indian nationals only.
He informed that an inter–Ministerial meeting was held in this regard to discuss the proposed Embarkation and Disembarkation Cards. Comments/suggestions are being considered before taking a final decision.
