The International Food & Wine Festival in Daejeon will take place from October 3, 2013 to October 6, 2013 at the Daejeon Convention Center, KOTRA Exhibition Center in Daejeon (KOTREX), Daejeon Trade Exhibition Center, Expo Hanbit Square and surrounding areas. Co-organized by the Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise (DIME) and Korea International Sommelier Association (KISA), this festival offers cultural events under the theme of the rendezvous of Asian and western cultures with wine.
The highlights of the event will be the wine concert where people will get a chance to see the cultural performances (D-30 performance) and do wine testing at Jungang-ro downtown area formerly road by Chungnam Government Office. The other highlights of the festival will be availing special discounts on food and wine at local restaurants and wine bars or explore the opportunity of having lunch or dinner at the expo bridge or indulgein getting spa treatment in thermal springs which are high on mineral content and other elements along with red wine.
Daejeon is called the “Asian Silicon Valley” due to the cutting-edge science and technology that it offers to the international community and it is also well known as one of the most popular industrial center of the country, besides food and wine which are other highlights of the city.
