Air India Express to launch daily Navi Mumbai-Abu Dhabi service on July 15
The service will utilise Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, with flight IX205 operating to Abu Dhabi and IX206 returning.
Air India Express will launch daily flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) to Abu Dhabi starting July 15, becoming one of the first carriers to operate international services from the new airport.
The service will utilise Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, with flight IX205 operating to Abu Dhabi and IX206 returning. The airline also flies to Abu Dhabi from Mumbai International Airport (CSMIA).
NMIA Chairman Captain BVJK Sharma recently confirmed the airport’s plans to begin international and cargo operations. Speaking on the sidelines of the BCBA Logistics Conclave 2026 in Mumbai, Sharma said “On July 15th we are starting with freighters, and we expect the freighters to ramp up to almost 18 weekly flights. Hopefully on 15th July international passenger flights will also start.”
Indigo will also commence international flight from NMIA soon.
