Air India, Air India Express & Akasa Air introduce fuel surcharges amid rising ATF prices

The sustained increase in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices, driven by continuing geopolitical developments in the Middle East and sustained pressure on global energy markets has led Akasa Air, Air India and Air India Express to introduce a fuel surcharge on domestic routes and revise the existing fuel surcharge on select international routes.
The latest increase in fuel prices has further elevated operating costs for airlines, with fuel continuing to account for a substantial proportion of overall airline expenditure.
