Agoda records 43% surge in Indian travel interest to Bangkok ahead of Eurovision Asia Grand Final

Digital travel platform Agoda has seen a 43% year-on-year increase in accommodation searches from India for stays in Bangkok this November, in line with the Thai capital gearing up to host the inaugural Eurovision Asia Grand Final on November 14.
Travel interest in Bangkok is up 14% year on year for stays around the Grand Final period (November 9–22), based on Agoda accommodation searches from travellers across Asia. The leading markets searching for Bangkok stays during this period include Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and India.
Vietnam travel interest in Bangkok more than doubled year on year for the Grand Final period, up 105%. India followed with a 43% increase, while domestic travel interest from Thailand rose 30% and Malaysia recorded a 4% increase.
For Indian travellers, Bangkok offers a combination of experiences suited to a short international getaway, from its vibrant food and shopping scene to its cultural landmarks, nightlife and wide range of accommodation options. The city can also serve as a convenient base for travellers looking to explore more of Southeast Asia as part of a longer itinerary.

National Final travel interest reflects searches made by Asian travelers for stays in Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam respectively around each country's national final date, compared to the same period in 2025.
The contest marks a milestone for the region: the first-ever pan-Asian expansion of the 70-year-old Eurovision franchise, bringing finalists from 11 countries to the stage for a potential regional audience of millions.
