The Orchid Mumbai announces the appointment of Shubhamoy Banerjee as the General Manager of its flagship property, The Orchid Mumbai.
Shubhamoy’s journey began at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in the USA, and he subsequently contributed his skills to esteemed hospitality brands such as ITC SonarBangla Sheraton & Towers, Taj Mahal Palace & Towers, and MSC Cruises, among others. In his most recent role, he co-founded Saivas Hospitality in Bangalore. Prior to that, he served as the General Manager of the Sterling Kodai Lake, and the General Manager of Holiday Inn Express Whitefield Bengaluru under the Intercontinental Hotel Groups.
In his new role as the General Manager of The Orchid Mumbai, Shubhamoy is poised to enhance operational efficiency and uphold the warmth that defines the hotel’s reputation.
Commenting on his appointment, Shubhamoy Banerjee said, “It’s a homecoming for me, having previously served as the Food & Beverage Manager in 2016-2017. Kamat Hotel India Ltd boasts a rich 25-year legacy in domestic hospitality. Our brand is ingrained in the minds of frequent business travelers and remains the top choice in the Mumbai Airport region. Despite tough competition, we aim to fine-tune our strategies to cater to our loyal guests. My goal is to introduce bespoke hospitality services and enticing new products to enhance our guest experience”
