Soon after concluding its first AGM, Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) recently announced that its first annual convention will be held in Manila, Philippines with support of Philippines Tourism from December 1 – 4 2013. Keeping in mind the evolving profile of the travel agents in India and the rapidly changing tourism scenario in the light of the present challenges, the theme for the convention has been aptly selected as – The Changing Face of Indian Outbound.
The convention will address some serious issues of the travel agents’ community. While the focus for the business sessions are yet to be finalised, the programme will comprise a mix of serious, thought-provoking and insightful topics. Also, providing agents with the opportunity of exploring a fresh and new destination, the convention would be showcasing some wondrous aspects of Manila, Philippines, to the delegates attending the event.
Riaz Munshi, Vice President, OTOAI has been appointed as the Convention Chairman while Vineet Gopal, Joint Secretary, OTOAI, would be the Co-Convention Chairman. Under the able guidance of Guldeep Sahni, President, OTOAI, the entire team of OTOAI hopes for the convention to be a huge success.
