Kerala paves way for ICTT 2013

ATTOI (Association of Travel Trade Organizations, India) has recently announced a first-of-its-kind travel and technology conference in India. International Conference On Travel Technology (ICTT) India 2013 will be held at The Leela Hotel , Kovalam from 7- 9 June 2013. 200 delegates including tour operators and travel agents from different parts of India have already registered to  attend the ICTT 2013.

More than 50 per cent of the tourism activities are now happening on the web space and the way forward is social media optimisation. Social Media is fast and is becoming one of the most vital cost-effective tools in tourism marketing. Effective use of Social Media has been proven to boost the number of visits as well as visitors satisfaction and number of return visits.Keeping up with this trend, eminent speakers with diverse backgrounds will educate and prepare the travel and tourism partners in India and neighboring countries to use the resources available online to drive business, get inputs in adapting to the changing technology and acquiring skills to beat the competition.
 
Selina Power, a social media specialist and social media commentator from Australia will speak on the topics ‘How travellers use social media and how travel business need to respond?’ and ‘Social media’s relevance and its impact on consumer behaviour.’  Australian social media speaker Adam Franklin will speak on ‘Inbound marketing – the cost-effective way of marketing’ and ‘Blogging – an inexpensive medium to generate leads and add value to your websites.’
 
‘Online reputation management – art of listening and responding’ and ‘Changing technology and marketing trends for the future in tourism,’ will be explained by Sheila Scarborough, writer and speaker from the US. Chad Wiebesick from the US will delve upon ‘Social media – opportunities and challenges in tourism marketing’ and ‘Organic search or PPC or both – what’s the way out?’ and Social networking entrepreneur Philip Calvert from the UK will deal with the topic ‘How to leverage your networking on LinkedIn: Powerful and proven strategies for travel professionals.’
