GSWS’s 1st Annual Wellness Tourism Congress a success

The Global Spa and Wellness Summit (GSWS) recently held its inaugural Global Wellness Tourism Congress, representing the first time that world-renowned tourism experts congregated to discuss, define, and shape the best strategies to grow this packed-with-potential tourism sector. Ministries of tourism gathered to share their current strategies and future plans to attract more business and leisure wellness travellers. The theme of this year’s Summit was “A Defining Moment”. The Congress was followed by a press conference where industry thought leaders and experts addressed the media on key topics related to the Spa & Wellness Industry.

Susie Ellis, CEO and Chairman, GSWS, expressed her gratitude to the guests and delegates present at the convention. “We are here at the Global Spa & Wellness Summit to enter into a global conversation and create a defining force that steers the direction of the Wellness Industry by stimulating ideas and challenging imaginations. Across the three days of the Summit, I hope that each one of you is able to identify “a defining moment” – outward, inward and onward. I firmly believe that wellness tourism can spark a revolution like no other, so let us come together and chart a course to make history for the people we serve and the industry we love.”

The second day of the Global Spa and Wellness Summit (GSWS) explored the ancient, modern and emotional business of wellness. India’s hospitality titans related their personal and entrepreneurial journeys, while key notes and panels featured world-renowned Indian and South Asian spiritual and wellness leaders. The morning session was followed by a press conference where industry stalwarts addressed the media on the Spa & Wellness Industry’s role in the growth of tourism.
