Booking.com releases its latest data on where Indian travelers are travelling to celebrate this festive period.

As the year draws to a close and the festive spirit is in the air, Booking.com unveils its latest insights, shedding light on the preferred destinations of Indian travelers as they embark on journeys.

Santosh Kumar, Country Manager for India, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Indonesia at Booking.com said, “As per our Travel Predictions 2024 research, 85% of Indian travellers revealed that they feel more alive when they are on vacation and we are pleased to see travellers embrace this travel spirit as the holiday season approaches. Top searched destinations by Indians travelling domestically from 23-12-2023 to 02-01-2024 are Puducherry, Mumbai, Puri, Manali, Udaipur, Ooty, Goa, Munnar, Jaipur, Bengaluru. While hotels continue to be the most popular accommodation type for Indian travellers, they are also exploring alternative accommodations while on holiday. Hotels, followed by resorts, guest house, villas and apartments are the top 5 most searched accommodation types for festive travel between December 23, 2023 and January 2, 2024.

Top searched destinations by international travellers visiting India from 23-12-2023 to 02-01-2024 are Mumbai, Kochi, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Udaipur, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Goa. Top nationalities searching destinations in India from 23-12-2023 to 02-01-2024 are United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Germany.
