Vietnam is said to offer a streamlined visa process with pre-approved visa-on-arrival and e-visa options.
Strengthening its footprint in the Indian market, Vietnam Airlines has officially launched direct flight services from Hyderabad to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. This new route marks the airline’s fourth gateway in India — following Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The new nonstop service will operate three times a week, on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
To commemorate the inaugural flight, an event was held at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, featuring traditional welcome ceremonies and a ribbon-cutting to mark the arrival of the maiden Vietnam Airlines flight. As part of the launch celebrations, Vietnam Airlines also organised a luncheon at ITC Kohenur, bringing together travel agents and industry stakeholders from Hyderabad.
Speaking at the launch event, Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager – India, Vietnam Airlines, said, “Following our growing presence in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, this launch further reinforces our network expansion across the country and strengthens our commitment to enhancing connectivity between Vietnam and India. We look forward to welcoming travellers onboard and delivering the signature service and hospitality that Vietnam Airlines is known for throughout the globe.”
“As the GSA of Vietnam Airlines in India, we are proud to support their expansion plans across Indian cities, with Hyderabad being one of the newest additions to our growing network. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and contributing to the airline’s success in the Indian market. We are confident that this route will create new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange between India and Vietnam,” said Abhishek Goyal, CEO & Executive Director, Aeroprime Group.
Sharing his excitement about the new route, Pradeep Panicker, CEO – GHIAL said, “This service addresses the growing demand for travel to Vietnam, which is one of the most searched destinations for Indians. The new route will significantly enhance travel options for both leisure and business travellers from South India and from other regional locations who transit through the Hyderabad Airport. This connectivity will also strengthen the economic and cultural ties between our regions.”
The direct flights are expected to boost tourism in both directions, allowing Indian travellers to easily experience Vietnam’s cultural and natural attractions, while also providing Vietnamese visitors access to Hyderabad’s historical landmarks and modern amenities. For Indian travellers, Vietnam is said to offer a streamlined visa process with pre-approved visa-on-arrival and e-visa options.
