In a major move to curb visa fraud, the U.S. Consular Team in India has cancelled approximately 2,000 visa appointments that were illegally secured through bots. In an official notice, the embassy in India revealed that they had identified fraudulent actors manipulating the system and violating scheduling policies.
“Effective immediately, we are canceling these appointments and suspending the associated accounts’ scheduling privileges,” the notice reads.
