Established in the fourth year after India’s independence, the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) is said to be at the forefront of promoting travel and tourism across the country, since its inception in 1951. As it approaches its 75th anniversary, TAAI and its managing committee are strategically curating engagements that will pave the way for a landmark celebration, reinforcing its legacy and future vision.
The logo of “The 75 Years of TAAI” was unveiled by Minister for Tourism, Gajendra Shekhawat at New Delhi on the 25th of January 2025. The keynote address was delivered by prominently known, Amitabh Kant. Partners & well-wishers joined TAAI, at the ribbon cutting ceremony and joined hands for the celebration.


The runway to the 75 Years of TAAI is said to have milestones that would depict activities of TAAI which are aimed to strengthen the ‘Member First Program’, engaging industry partnerships; education for upgrades, community connect and more.
Said TAAI President Sunil Kumar – “As we stand united, at the threshold of a great event, “The 75 years of TAAI”, this moment is a beaming hall mark that must be ushered in with utmost enthusiasm and excitement. We do not see this merely as an association event, but a splendid dedication to the travel & tourism industry of India. We invite our industry leaders; partners colleagues from our industry associations and all those associated with this ever-growing industry of travel & tourism, to actively engage with TAAI and our initiatives, as we launch the “75 years of TAAI.”
At the event in New Delhi, during the unveiling of the logo, TAAI announced their approach as “Connect – Collaborate – Celebrate” which will be the front end of all initiatives that would be taken up.
In Mumbai, a place where TAAI was borne, on the 30th of January 2025, at Jio World Convention Centre, TAAI will present the 75 Years Logo and the runway to the 75th year.
