The event this year attracted over 2000 exhibitors from over 50 countries and 28 Indian States and Union Territories. The three-day event was attended by an estimated 40,000 visitors.
The 32nd edition of SATTE this year was the grandest ever and most expansive that Informa was organising at the state-of-the-art new venue Yashobhoomi (India International Convention Center) in Dwarka, New Delhi. The event attracted over 2000 exhibitors, domestic and international, showcasing various products from their regions. Some 50 plus countries were represented on the show floor. The show also attracted participation from 28 State Tourism Boards from across India. An estimated 40,000 industry professionals visited the three-day event.
SATTE’s outreach now extends to over 402 cities from across the length and breadth of India from tier I, tier II and tier III cities, ensuring that tourism benefits reaches each and every nook and corners of the country.
Lauding SATTE for its role in the promotion of travel and tourism especially in the South Asia region, Union Minister of Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said that 32 years is a very long time for an event and the fact that SATTE has not only continued to organise the event but has also grown year after year, is a great testimony of the business opportunity that it creates for its participants. “Despite a very hectic schedule and some key cabinet meetings, I have fortunately managed to be part of the event and witness first-hand it’s size and scale and the opportunity and collaborations that this event creates for travel and tourism businesses from the South Asia region. SATTE’s role is absolutely important for stakeholders in travel and tourism sector. It’s hearting to note how people in thousands are engaging in business networking here at SATTE, ample testimony of SATTE’s growing importance for one and all,” he added.











Using the occasion and the fact that the 32nd edition of SATTE is taking place in the state-of-the-art Yashobhoomi, for the first time, Shekhawat, also stressed the need to develop India’s profile as a MICE tourism destination. “Apart from monument tourism, one of the key sectors that is a tremendous emerging opportunity, is the MICE sector. Similar infrastructure (like Yashobhoomi) has come up in Mumbai and elsewhere in the country, we should look at new plans and opportunity in order to position India at the center of global MICE tourism. We need to look at how we can bring large annual global calendar events to India. We have the opportunity to widen our horizons here at SATTE in order to learn and create a blueprint for MICE tourism’s growth in the country.”
Calling Jammu & Kashmir the “Paradise on Earth”, state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, highlighted the natural beauty and hospitality of the state. He said that the state witnessed some very hard times but there is no denying the fact that it has now bounced back and is once again being visited by tourists from across India in droves. He also highlighted SATTE’s continuous role in creating opportunities for stakeholders in travel and tourism sector from the state.
One of the key highlights of the event this year was the first time participation of the Indian Ports Authority, reinforcing the immense potential of cruise tourism under the Cruise Bharat Mission and further strengthening India’s maritime tourism landscape. The participation also reinforces SATTE growing recognition in being the launch pad of such important government initiatives.
Another key highlight this year, like the year before, was Atithi, SATTE partnered partnered with Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), a collaborative initiative, where around 250 international buyers were hosted at the event to promote inbound tourism and further cement India’s position as a premium global tourism hub.
Speaking on the occasion, Guest of Honour and Uzbekistan Tourism Minister, Umid Shadiev, pointed that SATTE was formed 32 years ago just a short time after the modern independent republic of Uzbekistan was born. “In this time SATTE has grown and flourished becoming the leading B2B event in South Asia. I would argue that it’s influence and importance reach well beyond the sub-continent. However my colleagues and I are here amongst 50 other nationalities because we recognize SATTE is a major global event for the tourism professionals and the vibrancy of Indian tourism market demands our attention,” he said,
Uzbelistan received 72,300 Indian nationals in 2024. “Given the market size, ease of access, and strong appeal of Uzbekistan’s product offering to Indian tourists, I am confident that we can treble that figure by 2030. With the right support from airlines, the sky’s the limit!,” added the Uzbek Minister.
Also speaking on the occasion as the Guest of Honour, Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham, Vice Minister of Ministry of Tourism & Sports, Thailand, said, “It gives me great pleasure to be here at the 32nd edition of SATTE. Thank you for extending this invitation. SATTE, as we all know, is one of the most essential and popular travel and tourism shows and I am delighted to be here along with my colleagues from Thailand travel fraternity. Over the years, Thailand has regularly participated in this event and has immensely benefitted. “I am happy to announce that this year again we are present with one of the largest delegations of Thai suppliers”
“With excellent bilateral relations and age-old historical, social and cultural ties, Thailand’s unique hospitality always remains close to Indian heart. Thailand has always been a significant and cherished tourism market, with over two million Indians visiting Thailand in 2024. The increase in number, along with the introduction of direct flights to more destinations in Thailand and with visa-free policy for Indians, has contributed significantly to the numbers from India, and we look forward to welcoming more and more Indian travelers this year,” he further added.
Expressing his delight on attending SATTE 2025, Kandula Durgesh, Minister of Tourism, Culture & Cinematography, Government of Andhra Pradesh, said, “The theme of the event this year is ‘fostering global collaboration for mutual growth which cannot be more apt as the world is moving back to travelling for leisure, adventure and such purposes. Besides, SATTE, its exhibitors and others are showing great enthusiasm at the event, which makes us quite hopeful for our destination, the state of Andhra Pradesh.”
Highlighting the support that state’s top leadership, Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, are offering particularly towards youth empowerment, infrastructure development and environmental sustainability, Durgesh further said, “These are our basic guiding forces for us to take up Tourism in a very big way in our state. The Andhra Pradesh Government has recently launched the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2024 – 29 which has granted industry status to the Tourism sector. This is a so much of boost for the investors to come and participate in the development of tourism activities in Andhra Pradesh. And we are inviting all the investors to take advantage of the policy.”
Subhash Goyal, Chairman, STIC Travel Group, while thanking Informa Markets for fulfilling his dream, said, “32 years ago when I was the President of Indian Association of Tour Operators, I had a dream that for the small and medium size tour operators a platform should be created where the buyers and sellers can meet because all the tour operators cannot afford to go to ITB or WTM. And I am so grateful to team SATTE in India that today SATTE has become as important as, or probably for South Asia, more important than ITB or WTM. I am sure all the exhibitors will benefit from the show.” Furthermore, he said, “We are ourselves the largest Aviation and Tourism marketing company in India, representing 13 international airlines and eight cruise companies and this is the only show we participate in because we really get very good results.” Drawing attention of all the participating State Tourism Board, Goyal said, “This is the blessed platform to get your people and show your products.”

Uttar Pradesh participated as the host state of SATTE 2025, whereas Jharkhand was the focus state. Besides, the also attracted Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Punjab as partner states at this year’s edition.. The event was also attended by Ladakh, Andhar Pradesh, Telangana,, Tamil Nadi, Chattisgarh and several others showcasing incredible diversity of India’s tourism offerings.
On the international front a growing list of tourism boards are taking part at SATTE including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Thailand, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Egypt, Greece, Bhutan, Uzbekistan and Mauritius, just to name a few of them, demonstrating India’s increasing role as a global tourism hub.
Other events at SATTE 2025 included, knowledge sharing platform, SATTE Leadership Summit, SATTE Awards and SATTE Shakti Awards, to recognize and celebrate industry pioneers who are redefining the travel landscape. SATTE Conferences this year also engaged on key topics like MICE tourism, AI Driven travel solutions, destination management and impact of Viral content, on tourism trends. The event has been at the forefront of driving India’s travel and tourism industry forward.
