PhonePe announced its partnership with OYO that will make it easier for OYO users to book a room through the PhonePe app. As a part of this strategic tie-up, users will be able to book over 125,000 exclusive rooms, currently part of OYO’s chain of hotels across India through the PhonePe app.
This partnership is another step forward for PhonePe towards creating an open payments ecosystem, enabling businesses of all sizes to build and upload their apps on its platform and take their offerings to a 100M+ PhonePe users. With both the companies already catering to a large user base, this partnership will lead to large-scale implementation for hotel bookings in India. It will also enable OYO to over 100 million PhonePe users.
