Artists of Talent Street Kala Ghoda, an initiative supported by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) & Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) displayed emerging talent across Maharashtra. Artists of Talent Street Kala Ghoda, began recently on November 19 and will continue till May 2018, on every Sunday, the potential artists can explore their talents and gain popularity in the field they excel in.
The upcoming artists will get a chance to display their art on the streets of Mumbai. The 250-metre long stretch on Kaikashru Dubash Marg at Kala Ghoda is the location for this weekly event and 21 stalls have been registered. The stalls exhibit Robotic Acts, Spray Paintings, Caricatures, Sculptures, Pottery, Warli Paintings, Jewellery, Puppet Making and Magic Street that motivates and encourage young talents so that they can participate in this kind of podium to display their talent.
Through this initiative, MTDC & MCGM aims to make use of the open spaces as a platform for public participation. The officials of MCGM are requesting artists to send applications and thus inspiring many promising artists to take part in this wonderful event in the coming weeks. Celebrities from Hindi and Marathi film fraternity have been invited to join to support the cause.
Jaykumar Rawal, Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra said, “It is wonderful to discover that Maharashtra has so much to offer, be it beaches, forts, heritage or our culture. This platform will showcase various types of folk, classical and traditional art forms and inspire the budding talent of the state. I believe this initiative – Artists of “Talent Street Kala Ghoda” is a podium and is a remarkable occasion for the visitors to discover Maharashtra and know its hidden treasures in forms of arts.”
