SATTE 2013 to boost Indian tourism

So far, SATTE, South Asia’s leading B2B Travel & Tourism event, has received tremendous response from tourism boards of many countries, Indian states, hotel chains, airlines and tourism products from across the globe. As of 30 August, National Tourism Boards from countries and cities such as Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Bhutan, Botswana, Brand USA, Dubai, Egypt , Fujairah, Germany, Hungary, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Jordan, Japan, Kenya, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, Panama, Philippines, Ras-Al-Khaimah, Seychelles, Sharjah, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela and Zambia among others have either confirmed or in the process of confirming their presence at SATTE 2013. Singapore’s Changi Airport is also participating for the first time at SATTE 2013. Apart from countries, State Tourism Ministries/Departments from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Lakshwadeep have evinced their interest to participate at SATTE 2013. Moreover, SATTE 2013 is also going to witness the presence of many new countries.

Interestingly, SATTE 2013 has received support from various quarters. After the Visit USA Committee’s (VUSACOM) collaboration with SATTE, the trade show renewed its certification by the U.S. Commercial Service, a trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. Moreover, SATTE 2013 has entered into a strategic partnership with International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP), a newly formed global alliance. While the participation of countries, states and tourism products are quite encouraging, the number of registered buyers is also increasing with every passing day. SATTE’s Early Bird Offer which concluded on 31 August saw overwhelming response from the travel fraternity. Till 31 August, SATTE has confirmed participation of over 150 buyers from 28 cities in India. SATTE also revamped its buyer programme this year which offers an incentivised pre-scheduled appointments system that allows for buyers to schedule appointments ensuring the opportunity to get business done on the show floor.
